Fact-checking policy
Numbers are the heart of every casino page: percentages, caps, multiples, limits and timings. This is how we make sure ours are right.
What we check
Every figure that could influence a decision is checked against a primary source before publication: the five welcome-stack tiers and caps, the 30x wagering basis, contribution rates, the €5 and €10 stake limits, the €10 minimum deposit, the 30-day tier expiry, the cashback rate and cap, and the licensing jurisdiction.
Primary sources
For Mad Casino’s terms, the primary source is the operator’s own published terms and conditions and bonus terms. For regulation, it is the regulator or official body itself, for example the Gambling Commission, GAMSTOP or HMRC. Secondary sources are used only for context, never as the sole basis for a figure. See our sources policy.
Advertised versus verified
Some claims can be read in the terms but not fully confirmed by us, such as a processing time that depends on the operator’s internal queue. We label these as “advertised” or “per the operator’s terms”. Where our own tests produced a result, we say so and give the date.
Worked examples
Calculations in our guides, such as how much turnover a given bonus needs, are worked twice and kept simple enough for a reader to repeat with a phone calculator.
Dating
Each guide shows the date its facts were last checked. If a page has not been checked within its review cycle, it is either re-checked or marked as under review.
Second pair of eyes
Before a guide with new figures goes live, a second member of the publishing team compares each number on the page against the source document and initials the check in our internal log.
Corrections
If a reader reports an error, we check it against the primary source within three working days. Confirmed errors are fixed straight away, and material changes are noted on the page. You can reach us through the contact page.
